Department of Teacher Education (B.Ed.), Vikram Deb (Auto) College, Jeypore
Vikram Deb Autonomous College, Jeypore owes its inception to the magnanimous Philanthropy of Late King Rajarshi Vikram Deb Verma who has donated land as building for the development of this institution.
Vikram Deb Autonomous College is one of the premier educational institutions in the state of Odisha which was established on 1st July 1947 to cater the basic needs of Higher Education in tribal dominated district of Koraput. The College has been affiliated to Berhampur University and has been recognised by UGC under rule 128 (1956) of UGC act.
The University Grant Commission (UGC) has conferred autonomy status to the College in July 2004 and the College has been assessed and accredited by NAAC with ‘B’ Grade (2.79 out of 4.0 CGPA System).
Two years B.Ed. Programme under Self Financing mode was opened from the Session 2018-19 vide NCTE approval F. No. ER 635 (Part-2)/APP 11012/B.Ed./2018/56240 dt. 02.03.2018 and Govt. of Odisha, Higher Education Department letter No. 11315/HE Dt. 27.05.2015 and Berhampur University letter No. 5137 Dt. 29.05.2015.
