The college has an army wing of NCC which started functioning since 1960. The name of NCC of this college is The 1/1 SD NCC Orissa under 1st Orissa Independent Infantry Company; It has been provided with office space and an Officer-in-Charge to guide the students.
Any male student of the college with a good physique is eligible for cadetship. Such students desirous of being enrolled must apply to the NCC Officer of the college.
The company holds regular parades and the Cadets are imparted training in the lines of military science and art. The Cadets participate in the Republic Day and Independence Day Parades every year held at Jeypore town. Selected Cadets participate in National Camps and have been duly awarded prizes.
The company has got an NCC Employment and Guidance Cell to advise the cadets of the College about employment prospects. It also holds blood donation camps every year on the NCC day.
The College has three NSS Units under the supervision of NSS Officers. The NSS Units of the College are affiliated to Berhampur University and Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa. All the three units (2 under Berhampur University; 1under CHSE Orissa) have more than 50 volunteers each. Each unit is placed under a Programme Officer appointed by Berhampur University/CHSE Orissa on the recommendation of the Principal of the college.

Ragging" means "Causing, inducing, compelling or forcing a student, whether by way of practical joke or otherwise, to do any act which detracts from human dignity or violates his/her person or exposes him/her to ridicule from doing any lawful act. By intimidating, wrongfully restraining, wrongfully confining, or injuring him or by using criminal force on him/her or by holding out to him/her any threat of intimidation, wrongful confinement, injury or the use of criminal force" as per Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1999.By anti ragging 3rd amendment dated 29th June, 2016 in UGC Regulations on Curbing the menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009 the following have been added to the definition of Ragging - any act of physical or mental abuse (including bullying and exclusion) targeted at another student (fresher or otherwise) on the ground of colour, race, religion, caste, ethnicity, gender (including transgender), sexual orientation, appearance, nationality, regional origins, linguistic identity, place of birth, place of residence or economic background.
Ragging in all its forms is totally banned in this college including in its departments, constituent units, all its premises (academic, residential, sports, cafeteria, etc.) whether located within the campus or outside and in all means of transportation of students whether public or private. The college shall take strict action including but not limited to criminal proceeding and/or cancellation of admission against those found guilty of ragging and/or of abetting ragging and the burden of proof shall hereby lie on the perpetrator of alleged ragging and not on the victim. An offence of Ragging may be charged either on a written complaint by the affected or on independent finding of the Anti Ragging Cell.
The College is bound by the UGC Regulations on 'Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions 2009'. The college has founded an Anti – Ragging Cell which governs the prevention of any means of Ragging either within or outside the college.
